I think you're pretty spot on here!


ESPN's biggest obstacle, perhaps from what I've read, is their long-term contracts have kept them from going to a more a la carte model already. Seems like past leadership didn't do a great job forecasting the shift in the market and now their going to end up 5 or 10 years behind due to some of the lengthy contracts they've signed.

I fully expect ESPN to offer more individually targeted programming over the next 10 years as those contracts slowly begin to expire.
