I think the SEC still has the edge - ACC has five 'top' programs now...


...by my reckoning: UNC, FSU, Miami, UL, and Clemson. The SEC has Auburn, UGA, Florida, Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M. Auburn, LSU, and Ole Miss all have OOC losses to quality teams. UNC has an OOC loss to UGA.

3 of the SEC's top program's losses were OOC, while 6 were conference games. 1 of the ACC's 'top' losses was OOC, 1 in conference.

I think we'll see more ACC schools drop out of the rankings as top programs go head-to-head. In general, I think the SEC's OOC slate looks tougher this year. Shocking given their history. If Notre Dame weren't tanking the ACC's OOC schedule would look much stronger (although the ACC is knocking them down).
