Honestly, I am not sure. However, I am pretty sure this topic has


come up multiple times on the football board. In Louisville's case and maybe even Syracuse's case, it is possible the ACC grandfathered them in under the Big East rules as a condition for joining the conference. At least I could see the ACC deciding it was in its best interest to allow the schools to honor a commitment to a recruit when it was made as a Big East member than to force either school to break their commitment to a recruit in order to comply with the ACC's rules.
