The cord cutting route is happening quickly.


But like with the ACC Network Extra the individual schools are going to have to create their own HD production capability and play by play and color commentary. Watching these ACC events, they are not all equal at this point, but I'd imagine they are being worked on. The production of the UVA baseball games at UNC was terrible. It's painful to watch a game from a mile in the sky looking down. The camera angle should show the strike zone.

I would imagine that the Mountain West would have significant ramp to produce games for HD TV. But ESPN is working hard and fast to be able to distribute that content on their platforms whether it is on its 24 hour channels or in the ESPN3 type mode.
