Detroit has a large population and some consider it an armpit.


Having a large population doesn't automatically qualify an area as a great place to live.

I like parts of DC, Arlington and Alexandria only as places to visit, but there are many parts of Prince William, Fairfax and the MD suburbs that I wouldn't brag about. A large portion of the DC metro area is congested, dirty and unappealing to me.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.
