Geez that is ridiculous. It's not like consumers had to purchase MORE...


...lumber because the actual dimensions are 1.5" x 3.5" instead of 2" x 4". When framing a wall, you space the studs at 16" on center or 24" on center, whether the studs are 1.5" thick or 2" thick, because drywall is sold in 4' wide sheets. It's not like lumber is sold by the square foot and customers were being charged for more square footage than the actual dimensions.

Any judge hearing this case should be ashamed.
