When I worked for NationsBank and we re-branded as Bank of America, I stood

In our supply closet and trashed at least $30,000 of branded material (clothes, envelopes, letterhead, pens, trinkets, banners, etc). We asked if we could donate to a school: Nope. They wanted the NationsBank brand gone. Multiply that across all the banks offices and we're talking real money.

Crazy.

Switch was flipped on my birthday in 1999. The Prime rate was 7.25% or so.
