It seems to me that it should be impossible to get all those guns into a


Vegas hotel. Surely there is technology, money, will, and common sense available that could provide for metal detectors at entrances.
The last thing you want, as a Vegas hotel owner, is someone in there with a gun. I understand there is a policy of "no guns allowed", but are they on the honor system or something?
I'm sure the hotels are sensitive to ruining the carefree atmosphere, and don't want to give a visual of a police state atmosphere like the airports, but I could see a system where entrance doors have detectors disguised as statues, potted plants, whatever, and a silent alarm that would notify security to discretely take someone aside that may be packing.
Nonetheless, change will be coming. Sad that it always takes something like this to get it started...
