I could use one, thank you very much...
I have 40% hearing loss in both ears due to a shooting incident. Was walking around a vehicle at our hunt club and some idiot had decided to do some target practice with his .357 magnum. Damn near killed me. No warning he was doing shooting and was quickly asked to not come back to the club.
Needless to say, I have to use hearing protection anytime I am in the vicinity of shooting. While hunting, it's a real pain for me and I would gladly invest in a suppressor so as not to have to continually use hearing protection. The legislation would significantly drop the costs and burdens for me to obtain one.
So, just because you can't think of a reason, don't think that there are some perfectly valid reasons to own something that scares you.
