I loved it, one of the few five star movies on my scale..


Like Westy said it deals with what it means to be human.

There are several religious themes in the movie, eg, Rutger Hauer meets his "maker" who lives on top of an inaccessible building (metaphor alert) and tries to solve the problem of why he has to die (designed to expire) Maker is like nope, can't do that, leads to a virus while discussing I guess, DNA changes that could be made. He then kills the maker

Ends with Rutger Hauer sparing Deckard's (Harrison Ford) life showing the replicant displaying mercy even though Deckard was trying to assassinate him. Who is more "human"?

Life change, runs off with Sean Young a coda to what is real and what isn't argument in life. His handlers might be on to him and may eventually catch him but not before he spends a little time at peace with himself.

Just a great movie that illustrates issues common to everyone.
