I agree, and I think holistic treatment has merit, even if we don't yet understand the "why" well enough to scientifically quantify the results. I think I am going to ask for a prescription for the NSAID typically used to treat canine bladder cancer to help ease inflammation, and then schedule an appointment with a holistic vet to see what other treatment options we can pursue. In my mind, that is the least-invasive, least risky approach. It may not do anything, but at least it's not going to kill her faster than a disease might.
