Dunno. Our U17s are in the quarterfinals and beat Paraguay 5-0 yesterday.

We produce plenty of 17 year olds that can compete. The gap is in the next 4-5 years. Too many of our guys go to college and don't get better when they should be following Pulisic's example and going to Europe.

Now, if I was a 17 year old American, moving to Europe away from my friends and family, not knowing the language, no Starbucks in every corner might be too much.

But if we want our players to make the jump from 17 year old phenom to 23 year old world class player, we can't keep them in the US.
