Some artists embrace the phone culture, some don't.

You've got some artists that will grab phones during the show, and take selfies + video. One big social-media party.

Then you've got old-school artists who discourage and/or prohibit phones (especially if they see flash, or video).

I'm more in the old-school camp -- if you're gonna record 50% of the concert on your phone, might as well stay home, and watch concerts on YouTube!
