I don't idolize you either. Nor do I idolize Bryce. It was merely an example of how jackasses taking matters far beyond the norm can affect more than themselves.

It's not my takeaway from the McCann incident. It's my takeaway from his entire career. He's done similar things many times -- though not nearly as egregious as this one. You want to retaliate? Do it within the game. Get him out. Plunk him below the waist. But don't grandstand and block the basepaths like a tool because you think you're the arbiter of what's right and what's wrong. That's not any part of baseball.
