But to make a point about being silent after you've "made it" is I think ridiculous. I don't think that I am completely unqualified for making cautionary statements to recent graduates because I dug myself out of self-inflicted crippling debt. I think that makes me uniquely qualified to steer them clear of the habits and pitfalls I fell in to.

I would also be fine if entertainers simply entertained but we don't live in that world. But I don't agree with your assertion that people should be silent as to the struggles of others if they assuredly went through similar times.
