Actually, all 3 Murdochs think live sports programming is a necessity.


They see it as forcing viewers to watch advertising when they do not necessarily want to. That's also the appeal of keepng their News and Business Networks.

And as far as his sons are concerned, even Iger agrees that James will probably run Disney after he retires.

No. If anything, it means there will be interesting times ahead with exponentially less red tape involved.

The Murdochs aren't going to sit around and watch 90% of the country turn off the channel when they see three teams in the CFP over 100 miles closer to Atlanta, Georgia than Pittsburgh is to Philadelphia. Cutting off the entire West Coast and Rust Belt is just beyond brain dead from an advertising and marketing standpoint.
