Plus due to more and more airline consolidation, domestic carriers

are recording record profits and one CEO recently had a quote (paraphrased) that they were now set up that they couldn't possibly ever lose money again.

So yeah, maybe the domestic carriers could lower the price some to match those foreign cheating airlines, and/or spend some of that profit improving their product.
