This is a weird story...
1. He was legally allowed to own the Bushmaster.
2. He was legally allowed to own a 30 round magazine.
3. He was NOT legally allowed to attach the 30 round magazine to the AR-15
4. The gun was kept, as is the rule at VT, at the campus police office in lockup.
I remember going there when picking up my son a few times from VT. We'd stop by and my son would check out his rifles for this or that. We were never followed ( I would know since I'm a trained spy).
So when this kid came into the campus police office to checkout his Bushmaster, why was he followed to the N.F. shooting range? How would they know that he'd attach his 30 round magazine to the rifle to make it an illegal weapon for him to possess?
Something doesn't smell right about this story.
