Similar story at my former employer. Office had a laptop stolen after hours

A few weeks later the current "owner" (who bought it at a flea market) has a laptop that wont' boot up, so they call the help desk number that's pasted on the laptop. Turns out a security guard was the culprit. Police questioned him about this particular laptop, without revealing how they identified him. When asked what he did with the laptop after he stole it, he admitted he had sold it at a flea market JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHERS HE HAD TAKEN.

I don't think he's a security guard anymore.
