As I mentioned, universities generally do not have the capability


to track electricity usage for individual dorm rooms. Spot checks and inspections won't help as everyone has computers running anyway. They could monitor network traffic, but the bandwith is low enough students can run it on their own networks.

At the scale of a dorm, they won't even notice if a few percent of students are mining.
