I have a plug adapter for Alexa and have it connected to

a disco-light projector show and colored lights hidden in my living room. When we are having fun with our 4 and 5 yo's after dinner, I say, Alexa, turn on the Disco Lights, and our whole living room lights up into a disco. Kids love it.

I also wrote a skill for Alexa to repeat silly facts about my kids' stuffed animals. The kids think alexa is just the best, especially when she repeats their names.

Another funny thing... we were driving around one day and I use the word "turbulence" to replace a word we didn't want the kids to hear. (first word that came to mind that they didn't know) My 4yo asked, "What is Turbulence?" And I was struggling to come up with a reasonable answer that fit the context of how I used it. Frustrated, she yelled out, "Alexa, What is Turbulence?" we had to explain how Alexa doesn't travel around with us... I look at my wife and ominously said, "Yet..."
