Any of you Loungers ever secured a fire safe so that it can't be stolen?

I have two fire safes to which I would like to attach a security cable so that they can't be stolen. Fire safes are great, except for the fact that if a thief breaks into your home, they can simply pick up the safes and take them away and work on breaking into them at their leisure later.

My plan was to attach the "eyelet" of a security hasp to each of the two safes using epoxy, and then padlock a security cable to each hasp eyelet. The security cables would then be padlocked to another security hasp screwed to the wall. I glued everything up on Sunday, and didn't check it until today (the epoxy packaging said that it would achieve the full strength of 2500 psi within 24 hours), but to my disappointment, the epoxy did not bond to the plastic shell of the safes. So, I'm back to square one.

Do any of you have a better suggestion on how to secure a safe like this, or can you suggest a better adhesive? For the record, what I used was Loctite 2-part epoxy, pictured below.

TIA

  Unfortunately since it's a fire safe, no holes. -- MP4VT2004 02/20/2018 7:54PM
