Unfortunately since it's a fire safe, no holes.


I suppose I could drill a couple of holes and through-bolt the hasps and then fire caulk the holes, but I don't think that would maintain the fire barrier. Although I'm not sure that really matters. If my house burns to the ground, I doubt these are going protect the contents inside.

I bought some pretty hefty security cables - 3/8" thick braided steel - but I agree, this isn't going to be theft-proof, but I'm just looking for a deterrent. By most accounts, thieves don't want to to loiter in your home after breaking in, so they pick the low-hanging fruit and then take off. I'm just trying to keep the safes from being low-hanging fruit.
