The difficult part is when there's a merge on and merge off together


When those merge areas overlap, THEN you don't want to use the zipper merge when merging onto the road -- then you're affecting those who are trying to merge off the road.

Another pet peeve I have in merge situations is when you're merging onto the highway -- let's say it's a three-lane highway -- and some idiot decides to merge from the middle lane to the right lane in the merge area, while cars are trying to merge on. You see a space open, start to merge in ... and there's some jacknut from the middle lane taking that space. SMH.
