I'm glad I'm not the only one who had that thought.


I highly doubt millennials are buying rugged clothing because they somehow connect the 2008 financial crisis with a need to be more frugal now (and that they will somehow achieve that by spending more money on their clothes?). This article makes no sense. I also don't think this is unique to millennials - it seems to me that brands like North Face and Patagonia have been gaining popularity for the better part of the past decade, across multiple age groups. I think that type of clothing is just popular right now.
