Tons of research led us to this brand as it was one of the highest rated and a good cost. Having it shipped from California to Charlotte wasn't really a big expense and our installer ended up purchasing it and setting up an account with them. There are a few different kinds of bamboo, so you need to make sure to look into it and get the right kind. The cheap stuff at Lumber liquidators/Lowes is usually the kind that isn't as hard.

We were on a slab and didn't want engineered hardwood, again thus the bamboo. We had it glued down and the installers were in an out in a day.

The product is very hard, but the finish still scratches pretty easily and also leaves footprints when walking around in socks. We went with a darkish/redish finish and it really showed dust/dirt very easily (not necessarily a bad thing, forced us to vacuum it more!). The other thing about bamboo is it can be hard to match if you want to have similar trim. They didn't carry any bamboo stair treads or rails, so when we installed oak it was pretty tricky to try and get the color to match.

In our current house we just put in solid oak, but we aren't on a slab so we had more options. It is much easier to maintain vs the Cali bamboo we had at the last house and will be easy to refinish or change the color later.
