Is there something more appealing about 3 digit home address numbers?

Any Town Planners or Real Estate people here?

As an example....the street I live on is fairly short. Only 21 houses, give or take. Yet the house numbers start at 570 and go to 600.

They aren't planning on possibly expanding the street and needing more numbers because there's already housing beyond both ends.

So is there something in real estate data that says "Customer Like these house numbers?" or something similarly strange, but perhaps real? Any "Town Planning" reason for this? Some US Postal Service preference even?

And note that the cul de sac across the street is 500 to 530 - DIFFERENT street name, so it's not like they were just continuing the numbers; and even if they were, why start at 500?
