There is a general connection between more desirable neighborhoods and the number of digits in the address. I find it interesting because I have had addresses growing up with 1 or 3, 4, or 5 digits but never 2. The less digits, the more desirable... some of these addresses with less numerals were forced to make changes when 911 addressing was mandated after 1995. Some neighborhoods resisted and were allowed to keep their original addresses. Depends on the jurisdiction and the nads of the enforcers.
