Yeah, I dunno. Whenever I had to look for a job, I'd usually botch the first one so almost got to the point where I had to consider the first one a practice interview if it had been a while. A paradox there because it has to be a real interview, you really need to be interested in the job, really on stage when you botch it type stuff to get that one out of the system.

So yeah, I dunno, take that attitude "oh well,there are other jobs out there" and move on. That was the cheap and easy thing for them to do so they're still in the process of weeding out rather than picking their winners. Maybe re-apply in a month? see if they catch that?

Learn from it though, what went wrong? I had to do weekly briefings for a long time (still do) and over time just learned to be smoother even repeating the same crap week after week, Try not to get into details let them do the digging (but always be prepared to like three levels) instead of trying to overwhelm them with how smart you are. Anyway, it hurts when it matters, but that's the way you learn.
