A bio on Andre I saw maybe 15 years ago commented that when we went in for back surgery, the anesthesiologist had a problem. Andre was so big, he was nowhere close to a size that was listed on the dosage charts. But he wasn't quite big enough that they could just skip to the veterinary charts for dosing a horse.

And having Andre wake up in the middle of back surgery would be really, really bad.

The doc tried to use how much alcohol it took to get Andre drunk to help with interpolating the dosage.

I expect any prescription you tried to give him would have the same problem. What in the world would the dosage be?
