Yep DL3, Bill Goodwin who is basically funding it, picked him.

Bill is of course as you know is a Hokie and a Hoo...and he didn't want Pete Dye (did Virginia Tech River course) for this one. He wanted something different for UVA and it will be interesting to see what he does with the woods across from hole number 2.

I expect that UVA and VT will have two of the best college courses in the country. Heck, I really like Birdwood as it is, but I know Bill will do something very special at Birdwood.
