Well. are they on the 20 point scale?


Some schools have adjusted their grading scales so that a kid doesn't fail unless their average falls below 40%, or something similarly ridiculous. That's a 15 point scale. 86-100 = A, 71-85= B, 56-75 = C, 41-65=D, <41 = F.

When I was in school, 67 was failing. If that B was on the low end of the scale (71-ish) then that used to be a D; not repeat-worthy, but not something to exactly celebrate either. A kid isn't really learning the material if they can't do much better than 70%.
