“They” tried that BS with my kids...

“No”, was our reply.

We knew that retaking would seriously set back their high school and college options. It would have pushed back Algebra I a year...setting off a bad chain reaction.

“They” argued the kids weren’t ready for the rigors of Algebra. As educators, we knew this was BS. We also knew that their 7th grade math teacher was an irrational battle axe and otherwise horrible teacher. Thanks to horrible instruction in 7th grade, Math was harder all the way through college.
