I took my class to the Montgomery Regional Solid Waste. (Dump) for a field

Trip. I actually learned quite a bit.
They have been taking all numbers for recycling, but are actually losing money by taking numbers 3 and up. Only 1 and 2s make money.
China is who takes it all and they are very picky with what they take since the olympics. They have been known to reject large containers of plastic if it doesnt meet their standard so it has to be shipped all the way back here jist to be trashed.
Here in Montgomery Co. (Va) they are going to start cracking down on what they take. They also hope to resume taking recycling here, on site, since they currently ship it elsewhere for sorting.
