It's amazing how quickly you become “rich” when it comes to Marketplace

Insurance. I've had a few clients who got cheap insurance, thanks to the Advance Premium Tax Credit (APTC) available through the Marketplace (Obamacare), only to discover they managed to make over $45,000 during the year and have to repay the entire APTC they received. It really sucks having to tell a person living paycheck to paycheck that they owe $6,000 to the IRS because they didn't actually qualify for the APTC they took for the year. But, hey.... that Affordable Care Act is really awesome, ain't it?
