So we just had our complimentary plumbing inspection

The hvac company that services our a/c offers a complimentary plumbing inspection at no charge, to go over all the plumbing within the house... This does not include irrigation systems or anything to do with the swimming pool....

Of course the focus was on our water heater (the original mind you) and that it has some fine leaks and is on its last leg (been on its last leg for awhile we think, it's 16 yrs old lol)...

We knew that we were going to have to replace the water heater , but this service man then gives me the pitch of tankless systems, etc etc... and the costs involved. We had never considered switching to another type of system, and believed that replacing our water heater was a relatively inexpensive repair, as we had replaced water heater in our previous home.

I am POSITIVE that this "complimentary" service is because somehow the 2 businesses are aligned in a good-ole-boy network, and although I like our hvac company, I don't feel obligated to hire this other company for any plumbing work and basically told the guy that we appreciate the inspection but am not signing up for any other services or sales at this time.
