What counts as "limited"? And do you really want to rent to students?


You want to own probably five years minimum if you buy. Do you anticipate being there and/or renting it out that long?

And I'd lean toward non-students. Students you're likely to have to find and engage with new renters every single year, which increases the possibility you get a crappy renter. And then there's whether you have one lease, a lease for each person, blah blah blah. I think renting to students when you're not in town should be last on your list.
