My take i that people feel like time is running out for the current roster.

The Nats have been knocking on the doorstep for years now, but haven't been able to advance deep into the playoffs, much less make a WS appearance. I think Nats fans are starting to worry that this team isn't going to get it done before they have to blow up the roster and start over. I don't know where they stand with regard to contracts with Scherzer, Strasburg, Zimmerman, etc., but those guys aren't getting any younger.
