I was expecting something very different from that article


Get a roommate, buy a reasonable car, limit how much you go out to eat. These are some of the absolute basics of controlling your spending. Nothing amazing there.

Bottom line is he makes $80K and has adopted a $40K lifestyle. Not THAT hard to do, especially if you are OK with having a roommate.

The real issue with Millenials and saving rates is the ones who have $50K in student loan debt so they could get a masters degree in social work so they could make $28K a year.
