Fidelity has published articles that the average couple will need $250k to


cover their medical expenses in retirement (this is above anything covered by Medicare). So your annual HSA contribution can go a long way to addressing that if you're able to save it. It'll reduce your taxable income today, and you can pull it out tax free for eligible medical expenses (today or in retirement).
