FWIW Harm graduated from Georgetown University Law Center

and passed the bar exam while recovering from his accident, which his RIO died in, on his grandmother's farm in PA before returning to naval service. Since the pilot starts out with the assumption that he suffers from night blindness due to the accident, he transfers to JAG since he can't fly F-14 Tomcats anymore aboard the USS Midway. Is his backstory far fetched? Probably, but who cares since it is a fictitious TV show.
