I am only basing it on a couple things.


When you look at the number of students Tech accepts and the percentage of those accepted that attend, the number is amazingly consistent year to year. I think the school has a model on every applicant and can take a good guess if they are going to accept or not.

My daughters school has an anonymous database of every college every kid applied to and then they show you line by line (grades and SATs) for accepted, deferred and rejected.

The Counselor believed legacy, parent giving and level of interest (attending the official) all weighed in your favor.

Lastly, my daughters friends with equal SATs and GPAs that skipped the official all got rejected. She got in.
