fantasy genre story tropes since they passed the end of the books. My hope is that the producers have mentioned in the past that they have discussed how Martin plans to end his series. They may depart from that and Martin might even change it (if he ever even writes it) but hopefully that avoids it being something super obvious.

Unfortunately in 2019, it's almost impossible for them to come up with an ending that hasn't been predicted in some form. Some of the actors have said they have yet to see a theory "that gets it all right" which to me is another way of saying, people have guessed it, just not 100% on who survives and who dies.

I don't think the ending will be satisfying in the "hero wins the day" type payoff but I think 80-90% of GOT fans are hoping/expecting an ending like that anyway. bottom line, people will hate it and people will love it. virtually impossible to end it perfectly without using at least one of the theory elements floating around out there. regardless, it's been one of the best series ever on TV.
