Retiring and looking to move to Blacksburg area in Sept-any ideas on....

....places to rent?
Parameters:
- House or apt is ok, don't need anything big - even an "efficiency" would be good
- NOT an all-student apt (as much as that might seem interesting, with the "Scenery", I don't think they or I would appreciate this OLD GUY staring .....:) and I can party with the best of them....till 10 pm ...:)
- relatively short-term - 8-10 month rental
