Try to find something on a bus route. Makes getting to games and back and

messing around on-campus much more fun. Also, try to find something on the huckleberry trail if you are all about getting out and walking/riding or stuff. I might look into finding a place to rent in the older section of blacksburg, near downtown. Certainly, some of the families that have lived there for a long time have extra space to rent out. Like an in-law suite or something. You might find a good place on Air B-n-B with all you want, then directly contact the owners and ask if they want to rent out for your long-term stay. They might be more interested in something long-term and reliable, without paying fees to the third -party. Getting a traditional apartment through a leasing agent might be difficult because of your less-than-year term.
