The cycle of poverty is not going to be interrupted by changing SAT scores
the kids that will be impacted this are not going to end up in poverty with or without this change. If they are taking the SAT and this change will have a say in which school they go to, they are not in the cycle of poverty or have already broken it because they want to go to college and therefore understand the value of education.
The cycle of poverty is driven by people with no education and no skills who raise kids with no education and no skills. Those kids don't take SAT tests and rarely graduate HS because whoever is raising them doesn't create an environment that makes them value education and work for it.
Interrupting the cycle of poverty requires removing the influence (uneducated parents with no skills) from the equation so the next generation gets an education and skills to achieve in society.
