It takes a little practice, but it's actually easier than getting out...


...of a tent.

Once you have it set at the right height, all you do is unzip the bug screen and swing your feet over the side, then stand up the rest of the way. You're starting point is already "half standing."

To get back in, just walk up to it, spin around, then walk backwards until it raises to the correct height to sit down. Usually that's just 4-6" inches. Sit down, slip off your flops and swing your feet into the hammock. Zip the bug net shut and you're good to go.

It really is a comfortable way to sleep while camping. You don't have to worry about rolling off your pad in the middle of the night, nor sleeping on top of a root or rocks. You could even sleep over a stream if that helps you sleep...lol
