Oh..yeah, and deer...


First year deer have really gotten into my summer garden. They've been a problem in the fall in the past, but this year they (I think it's one large doe specifically) actually have chomped tomato plants and some of my hot pepper plants. I think perhaps it's a tex-mex deer.

No, I live on top of a massive mound of shale. I actually have very little dirt and use it all, for everything. My best bet would be to completely stop growing tomatoes for 3 or 4 years.
