What would Texas offer the ACC?


If Texas did not offer their football to the ACC, and Texas had everything not football tied to the Longhorn Network. What's left? 2.5 football games per year and 10 Texas Road basketball games? ACC gets no contribution from any Texas home event?

I'm not sure what the 2.5 football games and 10 basketball games is worth, but I think a full member from another Texas based school would offer more if it were someone of relatively high visibility. I wouldn't fool with Texas for that little amount of contribution to the conference.

I've read articles as you describe. I also know Texas has been in a conference for 105 straight years. I don't see Texas not wanting to be in a conference as long as Texas sets the rules of the conference like they've done for 105 years. Everyone in the Big 12 must consult Texas for permission to use the toilet. It was the same in the Southwest Conference.
