I'm so confused why people think this isn't happening already


This isn't going to be the wild west where every kid going to Alabama football is suddenly going to be getting 10's of thousands of dollars. The good ones are going to now legally get the money they've been getting from bagmen.

What it will do is allow athletes like the Gymnast from UCLA to profit from their fame. Or someone like Katie Ledecky to be able to swim at the Olympics, get a ton of sponsors, but then also go swim in college.

The biggest money is going to be shoe deals and merch deals for these guys, which is the money that the FBI has been investigating in basketball for the past couple years. That money is already in place, none of which is coming from the actual schools (which a lot of people still don't understand). A company like Nike already has a sound financial dealings with their company deals. They aren't going to all of a sudden lose their minds and just forget all business acumen to throw money at these kids.
